Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
PeopleIL publishes at peopleil.org. Its operator can be contacted at [email protected] about this policy and personal-information requests. The following explanation distinguishes information sent deliberately from information associated with delivering a website, and describes optional services only where they are used.
Information you deliberately supply
- An inquiry
- An inquiry by email or an available form can include your contact details, name, message and attachments. These are used to address the matter and retain relevant follow-up. Form-delivery and spam-prevention providers may handle the submission and related technical information. Education correspondence should not include identifiable student files or unnecessary confidential employment documents.
- A subscription
- A subscription, if newsletters are offered, supplies details for sending requested emails and managing preferences. The mailing provider may record delivery and any enabled opens or clicks. Use the mailing’s opt-out route or contact the operator to unsubscribe. A minimal record can remain to ensure future mail respects that choice.
Information associated with access
Technical services may receive IP addresses, browser or device attributes, referrers, requested pages and timestamps. These support website delivery, fault finding and protection. Analytics, when active, may process usage events and identifiers to understand readership. Cookies, pixels and related technologies may support these functions, settings, commercial referrals or advertisements.
Browser tools can delete or restrict certain cookies, possibly reducing functionality, but do not control every collection method. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are different signals; legally recognized opt-out preferences are governed by applicable requirements. Contact PeopleIL about available choices. A visit alone does not authorize every optional marketing or tracking activity.
Advertising and outside connections
Advertising partners may receive activity, identifiers, page context and IP information when advertising is enabled. Delivery, measurement and personalization can involve disclosures treated by some laws as sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Affiliate links may carry attribution details for referral credit and commission calculations. Embedded material may contact its provider during loading or use.
Recipients can include hosting, protection, email and form services and providers of enabled measurement or commercial functions. Independent parties may process information under their own notices. Following an external link places you with a separate service. Disclosure may additionally be necessary for legal duties, safeguarding rights or safety, addressing misuse or a business transfer, subject to applicable safeguards and notification obligations.
Duration and security
A message may be kept through resolution and relevant follow-up; subscription information through delivery needs; opt-out records through the period needed to honor them. Operational records support security and service needs. Disputes or legal duties may require longer retention. Storage is tied to reasonable purpose rather than one universal period. Online transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Your residence and the laws applying to the operator affect rights. Access, correction, deletion, portability, restrictions involving sensitive information and opt-outs of sale, sharing or targeted ads may be available. Email [email protected]. Proportionate verification can protect record access or changes, but sale or sharing opt-outs must not require unnecessary identity checks. Required appeals and authorized-agent procedures apply; lawful exceptions and nondiscrimination protections remain relevant.
PeopleIL is intended for adults and not directed at children below 13. It does not knowingly collect their data; report a suspected case so investigation and appropriate deletion can follow. Policy changes are published here, with further notice or consent when required. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or others.
